Frequently Asked Questions

Should I include a cover letter with my application?

While a formal cover letter is not mandatory, we welcome a brief personal statement in the body of your email. Don't worry about it being formal, tell us why you are passionate about architecture and what you hope to gain from an internship at Primarc Studio. Your portfolio will be the primary focus of our review.

Is there a page limit or preferred format for the portfolio?

Yes, clarity and curation are key. Please submit your portfolio as a single PDF file, under 25MB. We recommend a curated selection of 5-7 of your strongest and most relevant projects (academic or otherwise). We are more interested in the quality of your work than the quantity.

I am a third-year student. Am I eligible to apply?

Our internship program is primarily designed for students in their 4th or 5th year of study, as the work requires a strong foundation in architectural principles. While we typically select from this group, exceptional portfolios from third-year students may be considered.

If I am not selected, can I receive feedback on my application or reapply for the next cycle?

Our team carefully reviews every portfolio we receive. If you would like personal feedback, please be sure to request it. Note that a response will not be prompt as our review process is thorough. We appreciate your effort and wish you the best.

Do you hire interns for full-time positions after graduation?

Absolutely. Our internship program is one of our primary pathways for identifying future talent. While a full-time position is not guaranteed and depends on performance and available openings, we are always looking to hire our most successful and dedicated interns upon their graduation.

Is this a paid internship?

Yes. We believe in compensating our interns for their valuable contributions to projects or exercises. Our internships include a competitive monthly stipend to help cover travel expenses during your time with us.

What are the typical working hours, and is the schedule flexible?

Our standard studio hours are from 09:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday to Saturday. We expect interns to be present during these core hours to ensure full immersion in team projects and mentorship. Please feel free to discuss this with us during the interview stage.

What software skills are most important for applicants?

Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential for all applicants. A strong working knowledge of 3D modeling software like SketchUp or Revit is highly advantageous, and familiarity with rendering software (such as Enscape or V-Ray) and the Adobe Creative Suite is a significant plus.

That being said, we believe software is just an extension of a designer's creativity. Our process is rooted in fundamentals; every project's initial planning and iteration happens on paper. A strong portfolio, for us, demonstrates not just technical skill, but a thoughtful and creative process that begins long before a mouse is clicked.

What should I prioritize in my portfolio?

Your portfolio should tell a story. We want to see your design process, not just the final, polished product. Prioritize projects that showcase your creative problem-solving skills. Include developmental sketches, diagrams, and a brief description of the concept behind each project.

Design Philosophy

At Primarc Studio, creativity is a shared territory. We believe the strongest ideas aren’t dictated, they are discovered. Our process is a dynamic cycle of abundance and rigor, mirroring natural selection. We begin by fostering a vast ecosystem of concepts, where every voice contributes without criticism. Then, we apply intense critical pressure. Ideas are challenged, combined, and refined through a collaborative, evolutionary process.

Each project begins as a vibrant ecosystem of ideas, born in an environment of uncritical, open exploration. This phase is about creative excess. Then, through successive generations of rigorous dialogue and critical review, these concepts are tested. They cross-pollinate, they adapt, or they are pruned away. This is our natural selection. Only the most resilient, contextually attuned, and purposeful ideas survive to inform the next stage, passing their DNA onward until a final, highly evolved design emerges.

The result is an architecture that is not merely constructed, but cultivated—a living response that is intrinsically fit for its place, its purpose, and its people.
