Explore our latest residential renovation project in Golra Sharif, Rawalpindi, where we’ve meticulously reimagined every inch of space to elevate functionality and luxury. Our focus was optimising the living experience for three brothers, guaranteeing ample space and comfort in every corner.

Client’s Brief

The clients approached us with a vision to renovate their 21 marla residence, aiming to expand it vertically by adding a first floor. The goal was to create distinct living areas for each brother while maintaining the coherence of the entire house. This involved renovating the existing ground floor and designing a brand-new layout for the first floor. Additionally, we revamped the facade to enhance the property’s overall appearance.

Facade

The exterior underwent a stunning makeover with the incorporation of tile and stone cladding, adding elegance and modernity to the property’s aesthetic appeal.

The stepped entrance design features a series of levels leading up to the main door, providing both functional accessibility and aesthetic appeal. These steps ease the transition between exterior and interior levels, creating a dynamic focal point for the entrance.

In terms of facade design, the building incorporates different volumes to create a varied and visually interesting exterior. Larger central volumes house main living spaces, while smaller volumes contain functional areas. The arrangement of these volumes contributes to the overall composition and character of the building, enhancing its architectural appeal.

Additionally, strategic punctures in the facade allow natural light to penetrate into the interior spaces, enhancing functionality, energy efficiency, and visual appeal. The biggest challenge for this particular project was catering to its lack of natural light.

Planning

Initially confined to the ground level, the renovation expanded to include a meticulously crafted first floor. What was once ground space now boasts an elevated living area, doubling the available square footage.

Our design philosophy prioritizes individual comfort without compromising communal living. Originally conceived as three suite-like rooms, the final layout evolved to accommodate two expansive rooms on the first floor and one on the ground level. Each room exudes an apartment-like ambiance, offering privacy and functionality.

From sleek furnishings to innovative storage solutions, every detail was curated to elevate the living experience. Whether unwinding in the spacious first-floor sanctuaries or enjoying the convenience of ground-level living, the brothers are greeted with an atmosphere of unparalleled luxury.
