Modern Architecture: The Premier 1 Kanal Modern House in Gulberg Residencia

This 1 Kanal project aptly named 'Tahir House' features a modern house design located in Gulberg Residencia, Islamabad. As the architects and designers, our primary objective was to develop a functional and aesthetically refined residence that aligns with high standards of contemporary living of the client. The design and construction process for this 1 kanal modern house in Gulberg Residencia focused on requirements of the client, material quality, spatial flow, and structural integrity, reflecting our firm's professional capabilities in residential architecture.

The architecture of this 1 kanal modern house in Gulberg Residencia is defined by its clean lines and interlocking geometric forms. The facade utilizes a material palette of vertically grooved, wood-finish panels alongside smooth white and grey surfaces. A key feature is the cantilevered roof, which contributes to the building's form while providing functional shading on the terrace which in turn can be used for sitting by the residents — a core principle of our approach to climate-responsive design. Large windows under large plain masses can be found to limit the over exposure of light and an upper-floor terrace are integrated into the structure to maximize natural light and connect the interior with its surroundings. The result is a thoughtful work of modern architecture suited for its location.

The interior of this 1 kanal modern house in Gulberg Residencia is designed for clarity and comfort of Muhammad Tahir and his family. The main living area benefits from high ceilings and an open-plan layout, creating a spacious environment for daily life and social functions. Site Update as of 22 February, 2026

The development of Tahir House in Gulberg Greens has reached a significant milestone with the completion of the initial excavation and the commencement of the structural foundation. Our team is currently overseeing the placement of steel reinforcement for the basement and ground floor footings. This phase is critical for ensuring the structural stability of the residence, with a specific focus on the precise binding of the RCC (Reinforced Cement Concrete) framework according to the engineered load requirements.

As part of our standard site supervision process, we are conducting regular site visits to coordinate between the structural drawings and the on-ground execution. The current focus remains on finalizing the shuttering and formwork for the lower levels. These updates from the Gulberg Greens site reflect the transition from raw land to the established footprint of the home, setting the stage for the vertical masonry work to follow in the coming weeks.
